Bidding for a moment

You can’t put a value on a one-off experience. It’s worth what someone is prepared to pay. That’s why bidding on Sweemo is fair as well as fun.

Auto Bidding

This is how we make your life easier, while at the same time, saving you money.

When you want to bid for a moment, first decide on the maximum amount you’re prepared to pay - call this the Auto-bid Maximum amount (ABM). This is your personal limit and is NOT displayed to anyone else, so nobody (Seller or other Buyers) knows how much you're prepared to pay.

If your existing bid is beaten, then we'll bid on your behalf up to £1 above the current bid (so long as this value is still less than your ABM).  If the competitor's bid keeps increasing, then so does yours right up to your ABM.  This means you will only pay as much as necessary to ensure that you remain the highest bidder.

If another bidder places the same maximum bid or higher, we’ll notify you so that you can place another bid. Your ABM is always kept confidential until it has been exceeded by another bidder.

Your maximum bid amount will not be visible to anyone but you.

   

Auto Bidding Example

  1. John is the highest bidder and the current bid price is at £15, however John has placed an auto-bid maximum of £25 on the moment. His auto-bid maximum is kept confidential from other users.

  2. Sue views the experience and places a maximum bid of £20.

  3. John's bid is incremented to £21 in order to outbid Sue's amount.  Note that John will continue to outbid any new bidders until his bid reaches £25.

  4. Sue is sent an email notifying her that she has been outbid.

  5. Jess views the experience and places a maximum bid of £30.

  6. John’s bid is incremented to his maximum of £25, however Jess’s bid is now £26, making her the lead bidder.

  7. John is sent an email notifying him that he has been outbid. If he doesn’t raise his maximum bid, Jess may win the moment.

This means that Jess could win the moment for £26 – even though you were prepared to pay up to £30!
   

Reserve

If your maximum bid is below the Reserve price, we'll enter your auto-bid maximum as your bid – but you’ll need to increase your bid above the Reserve price to be in with a chance to win the moment.  The Reserve price has been set by the Seller as the "minimum price at which they will sell".

After digging through all the trash - we discovered a few experiences that we thought you might be interested in.

Some of these experiences are wholly owned by our affiliate partners - so choosing a 'get me now' experience will simply refer you to our third party affiliate website.  Please note that you won't be on the sweemo website if you choose this option.
   
 

Payment

After you win your moment or make a purchase, you’ll get an email with all the provider details and how to arrange payment. Just get in contact with the Provider to arrange payment and to sort out the details for the moment.

Within the success email, there will be a link to make the PayPal payment.  Just follow that link, login to your PayPal account, review the trnsaction and then authorise the payment as normal.

For now, all users on Sweemo.com need to have a PayPal account to receive and pay for transactions. Need a PayPal account? Click here
